Gaya Avidor Week 1 - Just Incase You Were Thinking Of Trying A Cycling Class…

Gaya Week 1 - Just Incase You Were Thinking Of Trying A Cycling Class…

  • This week I tried out my first ever cycling class! I was pleasantly surprised, as I was quite nervous before the class. Since I wasn’t expecting to be here over the course of the summer, I wasn’t really motivated to do anything interesting related to exercise. I finally decided that it was time for me to find something fun and different than anything I’ve tried in the past. The class is actually very personalized to your own comfort, and you can sort of customize your workout however you please. There is an instructor in the front of the class, but you don’t HAVE to follow what they do exactly. I went with my sister, which was fun, because I probably would’ve felt uncomfortable alone. Something I was nervous about was that people would be able to tell that it was my first time trying this out, but it was totally the opposite. Everyone was really focused on themselves and trying their best to reach their own goals. My favorite part was the music playing in the background. I really felt like the music was motivating me to try my hardest to keep improving my power on the bike. Another great aspect is the small screen in the front of your bike that tracks your stats during the course of the class. After the class you really feel good about yourself, which was really rewarding. I would honestly really recommend trying out a cycling class if you want an individual workout that is still done in a group. I thought it was a really fun way of getting an exercise in without feeling like a boring regular workout!

  2. Sounds like a party in there! I'll try it on a rainy day for sure - you should take your cycling skills to the trails some time...

  3. It sounds like fun, but isn't the seat uncomfortable?

  4. It's so great that you enjoyed it! But doesn't it get kind of repetitive? There are only so many ways to move your legs in a circle.

  5. I actually did a cycling class about a year ago at wood field. I thought it was super fun because of the neon lights and super motivational instructor!! totally better than working out alone.
