Gaya Avidor Week 2 - Singing Their Way to Fame

Recently I watched a show called “School of Music”. Everyone in Israel is watching it right now… This is an Israeli tv show that shows young kids participating in a singing competition. I really enjoyed watching this as it was so interesting to see how talented such young kids can be. I was really surprised at some of their abilities to sing songs in English, which can be very tough of course. It was so fun to hear the new songs they would sing in each episode, and they always have a panel of well-known Israeli judges. What makes this tv show so amazing is that through participating in this show, these kids get discovered by agents and are able to start a career of their own in the music industry. This gives them an opportunity to really begin living out their dreams, and take their talents to the next level through putting themselves out there in this show. In each episode the kids are tasked with singing a new song, sometimes even receiving duets with each other. This gives the judges a chance to see how they perform with another person, and see if they can do well in a group. This is a great show to watch as a family, as it is good for all ages. It’s really engaging, and you just feel like you want to sing along with them. Each kid has their own story, and you really get to know them on a personal level. I would definitely recommend watching this show, even if you are not Israeli!

  1. I remember when you and Liran show us this song in Hebrew class. Seems like a good show, however, it's not my type of show. I feel like it's one of those where the kid uses a sob story to win the judges' hearts over to benefit his/her chances of progressing. Of course, I'm making this assumption without ever watching even a single minute of the show so I may be terribly wrong.
