Tonight is a very interesting night because it marks the beginning of the 2020-2021 NFL football season. The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs are taking on the Houston Texans. People all over the world are excited for football to come back.
During these crazy times, people everywhere are looking to sports as a form of entertainment The league play starting tonight will provide the the world another escape from the craziness. The matchup is set to be a good one. The Chiefs have the best quarterback in the NFL in Patrick Mahomes. That being said, the Texans quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is pretty good himself. Both teams have outstanding offenses. If I were a betting man, I would say that the game will be action packed. The defenses on both teams are lacking, so touchdowns should be being scored left and right between the two teams.
The game tonight is specifically important to me because two players on my fantasy football team are playing. I have Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson on my team and i'm hoping he was worth the high draft pick. Similarly, in this years fantasy draft, I took a risk drafting the Chiefs rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Henlaire at the sixth pick overall in my fantasy draft . It is abnormal to select rookies that high but this year, I decided to take a risk. After winning our grades fantasy football league two years in a row, I figured that, even if he doesn't play as well as he was hyped up to, I still have the past years to dwell on.
I'm looking forward to watching football tonight for the first time since last seasons Super Bowl in February. I'm hoping that the NFL doesn't struggle to contain COVID this season and that it is all smooth sailing. That might be wishful thinking, but it can't hurt to hope for the best!
I have been anticipating this game for a long time now. Also, I am coming for you for that fantasy football champion title. It is impressive that you have now won two years in a row, but hopefully I can assure that won't last. Good luck.
