Among Us!! - Week IDEK Zoey Eisenband :))))

        Sooo there is this game called Among Us... I'm sure you all know it by now because it has become super popular in the last month. Most people play it on a gaming system like Xbox or whatever, but I don't have one and I've never been the gaming type. Growing up, my sister and I were Barbie doll girls. So I've resorted to playing among us on my iPhone. 

        Among Us is a game that takes place on a spaceship. There are different characters... Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, White, Yellow, Cyan, and Light Green. All of these characters are given a role on the spaceship. They could either be crewmates or the imposter. Every game, the crewmates are supposed to do their assigned tasks while the imposter goes around and kills them one by one. The imposter can do a number of things to make sure he isn't discovered as the imposter. He can fake tasks, hide in vents, and close doors to certain rooms. In order for the crewmates to find out who the imposter is, they are able to call an emergency meeting to talk about any mysterious behavior, or they can report a dead body. all communication is done in the chat, and once everyone is done conversing, a vote takes place. Once a player is voted out, the rest of the players find out if that player really was the imposter or not. The imposter wins if he successfully kills all of the players without being voted off. The crewmates win if they either finish all of their tasks, or vote the imposter out of the game. 

        My first time playing, I was the imposter, which is super rare because being imposter almost never happens since its a 1/10 chance. I obviously didn't know how to be secretive about it or even play the game at all, so I was voted out very quickly. 

        Since then, Ive gotten quite good at the game. I've made friends in the game, too. We exchanged instagrams, and now we regularly play games together. We often team up and vote people out just so that the four of us can be the only ones left in the game. Once everyone else either died or is voted off, we usually play hide and seek around the spaceship, which is super fun. 

        One of the most common phrases that has derived from the game is the word "sus." People often use the word "sus" to describe a player who is acting suspicious, and is essentially acting like they are imposter. An example of the way this word is used is "Red is sus." 

        When I play, I always like to be orange. If orange is taken, I tend to get confused the whole game and forget that I'm not orange. There are also accessories that you can use for free. I love to use the jack-o-lantern hat. 

        The game does become a bit repetitive, so I can see myself getting sick of it eventually. But for now, I suggest everyone should go try out the game Among Us. Trust me, it's addicting.
