Exploded Diaper is a great song by one of the greatest punk-rock bands ever, Loded Diper. Loded Diper is the band in which Rodrick Heffley is the drummer. He is the brother of Greg Heffley, the main character of Diary of A Wimpy Kid. Growing up I loved the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, so much so that for the longest time my writing style was modeled around it. I also loved the movies and the scene that always stuck out to me the most was the end of Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. Loded Diper performs at the much anticipated local talent show and they reveal this absolute gem of a song, “Exploded Diaper.” The tune is actually very catchy and when I was younger I used to sing it a lot, plus the lyrics are ridiculous. It would be remiss of me to say that this song and the character Rodrick didn’t heavily affect my interest in drums.
One thing that is absolutely hilarious about this scene is that you can tell that at the beginning of the song that the audience doesn’t like it one bit. Rodrick’s mom, however, is later seen dancing in a funny way to the side of the stage. The spotlight is then shown on her and the whole crowd starts mimicking her dance and eventually they’re all going crazy. What’s funny is the band thinks everyone is cheering for them and Rodrick’s brother, Greg, and their dad take note of this. I just think the whole scene is hilarious and showcases a childhood defining song.

This movie was fire back in the day. I remember being a lot younger and watching this scene. It's super weird in the movie but pretty funny. I feel like they don't make kids movies as funny anymore.
