Yakov Wahnich Week 10 - Hurricane Eta

Before this whole COVID thing and quarantine, I wouldn’t have to preface this with the following: 

if you have gone outside this week, notice anything different about the weather? 

I can’t believe it’s already November. Summer flew by so quickly and it’s beginning to cool down this week. The previous week’s weather was quite errant, alternating between sunshine and torrential downpour. The weather at the start of this week is intriguing - cooler but very windy, yet somehow enjoyable. I think I like the weather more because it’s a change of pace from the same old, but in the same token, I will miss the sunshine as it’s very gloomy right now. 

While I’m not a meteorologist, I’m assuming that all this weird wind we’ve been getting is coming from the outer bands of Hurricane Eta. Oh yeah, there’s another major hurricane that could be heading our way. Apparently, some Category 4 hurricane off the Nicaraguan coast is coming to Florida, or to the area at least. Eta is landing in Nicaragua this week, and will probably tear through Central America. The land will weaken the storm, but once it gets back to the ocean, it could strengthen very quickly. The storm is two weeks out, which makes it too early to definitively tell where it plans to go. This is speculation, but by the time it could make landfall near us, it will be at or above a Category 4 storm. Nothing new. Nothing surprising. It’s Florida, so I’m sure that on the off chance it lands in Florida, everything will be like clockwork, as hurricanes are not out of the ordinary.
