Liann Rozenberg Week 14 - Puzzle Addiction

A couple of weeks ago I went to Tj Maxx to return something for my parents. I love the hoodies and t-shirts in the men’s section so I went to see what they had that week. But then I noticed that there was a section with so many board games, card games, and puzzles. Super excited, I looked through the whole thing and really randomly bought a 500 piece puzzle of the three main girls from the movie Clueless, one of my favorites

I went home and immediately poured it all over the living room table, not leaving any space for anything else, and started to build it. At first, I thought, oh I could do a little bit every day and finish it in a couple of days, but then it was really addicting and actually really fun. I finished it all that same night in just a couple of hours. I started with the frame, which I am pretty sure everyone does, but then it got really hard because the whole background was white.

The next day I went to buy more puzzles and I bought 2 more boxes! One with 500 pieces and the other with 300. I finished one of them (the smaller one) and now I am working on the other.

I think, especially in times like these when we’re all at home, puzzles are a really great way to keep your mind working and busy. I haven’t done one in so long and I don’t know why I haven’t thought about it earlier in quarantine, but it’s never too late. It’s a fun way to feel accomplished and spend time doing something other than homework or watching TV.

When was the last time you completed a big puzzle?

  1. Dude!! I love puzzles so, so much. On weekends, I used to do puzzles with my mom and grandmother and we'd do these super difficult 500-2000 piece ones. Puzzles have no business being as fun as they are though, seriously...
(This is my favorite one I've done!! Super recommend it: https://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Games-Charles-Frederick-Literate/dp/B00YFR1XX2)

  2. Towards the beginning of quarantine, I was completing 1,000 piece puzzles every few days until I ran out. Finishing a puzzle is such a good feeling so I totally get this puzzle fever that you're going through right now.
