Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they’ve been overwhelmed with homework lately? Okay I’ll admit, I can be one of those students who complains about homework, but this time I really do feel super stressed about it. I feel like there’s always an assignment that’s due, and so much so, that this week I kept losing track of what I have and haven’t already done.
Some classes have less work than others, but I just wasn’t expecting to be bombarded with work week after week. I obviously end up getting everything done, but I find myself many nights working until late at night to try to get through many assignments at once. I understand that school is still going on and that seniors don’t have much left, but I still feel like certain classes that are assigning ridiculous amounts of homework *cough cough Judaics* should maybe be more considerate. I anyway feel like our grade just had bad luck with Covid basically ruining our senior year, and as second semester seniors I was just expecting a bit more leniency.
I’m probably saying all of this for nothing, but I guess I was just wondering whether or not I was the only one feeling this way. Other than that, I’m excited to finally be finishing up school and not having to worry about assignments every 5 seconds. Hopefully soon, the amount of homework will go down and we will just be working on final assignments for the semester. But, I swear the time 11:59pm is haunting me LOL!!
YESSS I completely agree!!!! These past couple of weeks I have been getting insane amounts of work, which is also taking a toll on my sleep BIG TIME! It is causing me to go to bed super late because I have school until 2/3pm and then a sport directly after. Then, since I don't get enough sleep, I have had to sleep through a couple of classes purposefully, because weighing the consequences, it was worth it, because my body and brain were physically not able to function some days. Just like you, I expected slightly more lenience because of our senior year being ruined, but it is obvious that I expected too much, as every time I open my homework, I don't see an end.
ReplyDeleteYeah everyone has always said that second semester of senior year is the easiest, but I'm starting to think they were talking about the second half of this semester. I've had more work in the past few weeks than any other point in all of high school. It's getting ridiculous
ReplyDeleteI am literally DROWNING in homework. I don't know who said this semester is supposed to be easier. It is way harder than last semester when I had to balance applying to colleges and school! I don't understand why the teachers are going overboard. There is no leniency and we finish in a couple weeks!
ReplyDeleteYESSSS!!! I have been bombarded with homework and its so annoying considering one i'm already in college and don't really care anymore and two it's our senior year. Like we didn't get any of the benefits of senior year. The least we could get is less homework so I can continue to make the best out of senior year and see my friends. Also it is so infuriating that I have to spend my WEEKEND doing stupid homework. Like what. sure some of the work is procrastinated but a lot of the time i have to do it over the weekend because I don't have time during the week. One example of that is while at a friends house watching the super bowl, I spend the entire time working on my judaics project; i didn't even look up to watch the game.
