Josh Rosenblatt Week 16 - It's Time To Shake Things Up

I’ve officially become bored of Boca.  I’m honestly surprised it's taken me this long, after all I’ve lived here for the past 15 years of my life.  I’m not sure if the pandemic didn’t happen that I’d feel any different than I do right now.  The only things that I haven’t done this year that I would probably have done are going to the movies and going bowling.  I still go out to eat, I still see my friends, but it’s just getting a little repetitive.

As all of you know by now, I have become rather obsessive with Orlando, specifically the theme parks.  I have had the opportunity to go to both of the Universal parks, two Disney parks and the Downtown Disney/Disney Springs area during the pandemic (you can judge me all you want but I never got Covid).  While I definitely enjoy the rides and scenery there, I feel that the reason why I love it so much isn’t because of that.  It is just the feeling of experiencing something new and different from what I have at home.  It just feels completely different there as to Boca, and it should because it is.

Really with college coming, I know that I’m going to get that same feeling of experiencing something new and different.  For the longest time that scared me, to the point where I’d have anxiety attacks over it, but now I’m ready and excited for the change.  Don’t get me wrong, I love Boca and I think it is a very nice area, but it appeals more to our parents' generation than it does ours.
