Liann Rozenberg Week 17 - Working Out Becomes Fun

I used to be a competitive swimmer. Since we moved to Florida, in fourth grade, all the way up until my sophomore year. It was my passion and I even took up water polo. Training every day for 3 hours was so hard, but the best possible form of working out for anybody. I made the best friends and I loved being a part of a team, but during high school, it got too difficult and I realized I needed to devote more time to my studies which swim interfered with just a little.

So I stooped swimming two years ago, my only form of working out. I never used to gym and I never enjoyed it because I never knew what to do! So, I started taking classes at the YMCA a couple of months before Corona, which were super fun and challenging. I took classes such as cycling, pilates, HIIT, and universal training; all really tough and engaging. I tried motivating myself by even buying cute workout clothes and setting goals to reach.

However, when Corona happened, I had to stop. I was not motivated enough to do home workouts, but eventually, I really wanted to. Recently I’ve been running every day, sometimes even twice a day, outside and on the treadmill. I even signed up for the YMCA again and I really enjoy it. I go with my friends and we plan our workouts and our days around that. I truly believe that if you look at it in a positive way, it can be fun and something to look forward to.

  1. I totally agree! I feel like once you find a way to motivate yourself to workout, it's actually fun. Going with your friends or buying cute workout clothes is such a good way to do that. It definitely makes it easier to get up and go!
