By the end of March, we will no longer have to do busy work assignments, take tests, or worry about our grades. I'm so looking forward to taking a load off. This by the way isn't a laziness thing. I honestly think that it is an undeniable fact that everyone's work ethic went completely downhill with COVID (teachers and students included.)
I think the ability to be done with work will be super positive for our senior class, especially with all of the fun opportunities that we have missed out on.

I agree. Ever since I started learning virtually it has been much harder to maintain focus from home. It is very unfortunate that we have been deprived of a normal senior year, potentially even worse than what class of 2020 had to go through. I also hope to enjoy the ending of my senior year without worrying about homework in April and May. That is what is currently giving me motivation to succeed in the last months of learning.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you mean. Though a lot of us are learning from home, it doesn't mean that we get to actually relax with all the work we've had to worry about. Wanting to stop dealing with all that is surely not a sign of being lazy! It's been a busy year thus far :/ (and ironically feels like it lasted forever, yet went by so quickly)
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. Everyone's work ethic has declined so much due to COVID. It makes everything 10x more stressful because you know you need to get everything done for a grade, but there is absolutely no motivation. Also, it's not like I'm getting anything our of it, because learning online is a lost cause for me at least.
ReplyDeleteI think you're so right. We really missed out on so much for our senior year, and the work ethic definitely reflects that across the board. For myself at this point, I just keep reminding myself that there's only X amount of classes left and we're in the home stretch.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm a time traveller and this is our last week of school lol - for real though this is really bittersweet. I've been looking forward to this forever but now that it's almost here I find myself wanting to hold on.
