Apple is the Worst
By Gabriel Winter
We all know that apple is a company that likes to make money and will do anything to do so. From making their products break after a few years to making software updates that completely deteriorate the phone and makes it shut down at random times they are only looking out for themselves. I have a Mac book Pro which I believed at the time I loved and was the best computer on the market. After only having it for two years the computer screen randomly shut off and broke. I thought that it was something that I did and so I bought another one because the old one could not be fixed. Recently that new computer after three years suddenly turned off. Knowing exactly what has happened I was filled with rage and wondering how apple can make such a crappy computer one that break so often. Then I remembered that they are abnormally corrupt and do not care about us and all of the work we have to do on that computer but instead care about how fat their wallets are. As we speak I am writing this on my phone because my computer is sitting dormant on my counter. I would buy another product but I like the OS on Macs and I am now conflicted on this subject. Should I buy a new Mac or should I stop being a slave to the apple company.

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry your computer is broken! I don't know much about Apple products (I have Google Pixel phone) but this sounds awful. Do they really make updates that cause older phones to shut down? It makes me sad that they're such a big company and aren't good to the people who buy their products.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand! I've lucked out with my Macbook Pro; I bought it in 2015 and it still works to this day. It has slowed down for sure, and bi-monthly Apple Care sessions are a must, but as long as you treat the products well and maintain them, many Apple products will survive. I will say, though, that the newer Apple products seem to break down a lot faster than the older tech. The company defintely prioritizes high/luxury quality over longevity.
ReplyDeleteArtificial scarcity and forced reliance by companies like Apple is the worst! Not only is planned obsolescence frequent, but they deliberately make products difficult to repair on your own through purposefully obtuse design. Luckily, there's a guy named Louis Anthony Rossman who actively criticizes and fights against these practices be making tutorials on how to repair certain types of damage to apple products.
