I am a picky eater, maybe the pickiest eater I know. I won't let my mom bring home fruit salads because I don't like it when the fruits touch; it ruins the flavor. I also HATE cheese, except on pizza and mozzarella sticks. I know, it’s strange. Anyways, on top of being a picky eater, I also find a new food or snack, get addicted to it, and then just abruptly stop eating it. Because of this, my mom just doesn’t buy snacks for me in bulk anymore, so I never have any food to eat in the house.
A few days ago I was in need of a sugary snack but didn't have anything in the house. I decided to try burnt Nutella. Yes, you heard that right, burnt Nutella. So this is how it’s made: first, you scoop a glob of Nutella out of the jar. Then, you put it on a paper plate, and lastly, you put it in the microwave for about three minutes and watch it burn. Don't burn it all the way. It tastes best when the middle gets cooked to a point of being a softer (if that makes sense) consistency, while the edges get charred and crispy.
I know this sounds disgusting, but hear me out. It is like a one ingredient Nutella cookie with a little bit of a crunch and gooey mix, and when you eat it, it is best to take the charred edges and mix it with the gooey core. It’s delicious, but be careful when eating it because it gets super hot in the microwave. Don’t do what I did and eat it right away because I think I burned off all the flesh in my mouth.

ReplyDeleteHmm this seems very interesting. I am intrigued. Sometimes the most simple of foods could be very tasty. Just like mug cakes. It only involves like three ingredients yet typically turns out very delicious.
