From someone who comes from a family of amazing cooks, you would think I would be able to make something taste decent. My mom’s side of the family is Morrocan and she and my grandmother make amazing dishes. On top of that, they make these amazing desserts and countless people have told my family to open a restaurant. But in my case, everything I make in the kitchen just isn’t edible. No matter if I follow the recipe or anything, I really just don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m also the literal clumsiest person to exist, so I make the biggest messes that are completely unintentional.
Last month I tried making fluffy pancakes. I was supposed to leave them on the pan for a little so they can rise, but they were just burning so I took them off. I gave them to my family and they almost threw up…
Today I tried to make muffins that Elanit taught me how to make at the beginning of quarantine. I really don’t know where I messed up but I’m telling you the batter was solid.
This one is really embarrassing but I’ve messed up making a hard-boiled egg…
I try to learn from my mom but she knows if I’m in the kitchen ill ruin something so she would rather do everything by herself.
One day I would really like to learn, maybe after I submit all my college applications and have more free time!
Are you a good cook/baker?

I'm sure you just need some practice Liann! Baking/cooking can go really wrong with only one small mistake, take it from someone who ruined a whole batch of cookies with double the baking soda by accident. The more you work on it and try again you'll get the feel for it and get better! One time a bunch of my friends and I had a sleepover, when it was legal, and Bella and Dylan swore they could make pancakes for breakfast. It definitely did not go as they had planned, mine was completely raw in the middle but most of the others were burnt to a crisp!
