So I think about this quite often, but I have a really strange memory. For example, I don’t remember what I ate for dinner two nights ago, well with my track record it was probably nothing, but I don't remember, while I, for some reason am able to vividly remember my third birthday party (without pictures). Like that was 14 years ago. I remember when we were in the pool some kid in my class, I think his name was Max, took the rubber toy purple with a greyish-white belly and squirted water in my face. I was pretty upset. I also remember my grandma giving me my floral dress with a matching headband in my backyard by the fence. We had my pre-school’s P.E. coach came with some volunteers to set up games in the backyard, and I remember playing soccer with the two volunteers. Later in the day my brother and I had cake to celebrate; Sam had a champion cake, and I had a little mermaid cake, both from Publix. And to end the day, we had Ziggy the Clown; I even remember the magic trick he did to Sam and me: he did the milk over our head with newspaper one.
Another strange thing about my memory is that I am able to remember exactly where on a page something is written, but not what’s actually written. It can be quite annoying while taking a test. It’s like when a question, mainly on a test, is given and the answer is on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't quite remember the explanation of something, but I can remember where the correct answer I’m trying to figure out is located on the page (like if it's on the right or left, front or back, top or bottom).
So if anyone has an answer to why my memory works like this, please tell me because I have been puzzled about this, let's say issue, for as long as I can remember.
OMG I have the same memory! I remember the most random things, but I can never remember conversations I had 2 minutes ago...I always lose my train of thought completely because my memory is so bad and I lose focus also. I also have that weird memory thing where I remember exactly where on the page I saw something; it's so strange and I don't know why it happens, but yet I struggle to remember my breakfast.
ReplyDeleteOMG I ALSO SEE THE EXACT PLACE THAT I READ SOMETHING IN A BOOK BUT I CANT REMEMBER THE ACTUAL FACT. also, one of my weaknesses is repeating what someone just told me to another person. I just always mess up the wording and people get mad at me for not saying the right thing.
