Gaya Avidor Week 17 - Do Soulmates Exist?

When thinking about what to write for this week, I decided to once again look at the list Mrs. Ho provided for us that has a bunch of questions. This time, I decided to write about if I think soulmates exist. I think it’s funny that this question was on there because lately I feel like I’ve been hearing people talking about if there is a soulmate for everyone and what that ultimately means.

I’ll start off by saying that I do think soulmates exist. I feel like there are people who are just so perfect for each other that even though they aren’t together, they definitely belong with each other. Along with the question about soulmates, I think there is also such a thing as the right person at the wrong time. I believe that this is the statement that proves that soulmates do exist. There could be a person that is so right for you, but depending on where you are in your life, it might not be the right time to be with them. Whether it’s someone you meet for the first time or someone from your past, I feel like soulmates always find a way to stay in contact with each other.

That being said, I don’t think there is a soulmate for everyone. I don’t really have a reason for thinking that, I just think that only some people have another person that is truly, perfectly, meant for them. Even though I do believe that soulmates exist, they might not always end up together. I think that’s the saddest part because there are some people that just don’t realize they are meant to be together, or there might just be something that is keeping them apart. So, even though soulmates do exist, they might not always be the people you end up with.

  2. I think I think really similarly to you!! I like to think soulmates exist because it's just one of those things my hopeless romantic side would love to believe in. Though, I like to also think that platonic soulmates exist. Sometimes you have a friend who is just so perfectly you're other half, but in a not romantic way at all, and honestly that might be better than a romantic soulmate. Sounds like I'm in dire need of a trashy romance movie again, oh no.
