Dana and I aren't friends anymore - Zoey E. - Blog 21

This week’s blog is going to be me complaining about Dana Levine. Don’t get me wrong... I love Dana, but she is also such a Dana, and that's all i'm going to say about that.

Anyway, let's get to the juicy gossip about why Dana and I are “beefing” (as the teenagers say nowadays). Disclaimer: I don’t think she knows we're beefing but I just decided that we are like 30 minutes ago but it is too late to tell her because I think she is asleep. Okay, let me just get to the story. Basically, Dana wants me to plan her birthday party for her. You’re probably thinking, “Really, Zoey? You are mad at your best friend because she wants you to plan her birthday party?” Okay, yes and no.

First of all, Dana wants these plans to be a surprise for her, but Dana is not the type of person to be able to handle a surprise. This girl keeps on saying things like, “Okay I know it is supposed to be a surprise and all, but I don’t really trust you enough to give me a surprise that I will like, so I will just give you a suggestion…” and then she proceeds to give me a detailed explanation of EXACTLY what she wants me to do for her on March 20th, which COMPLETELY ruins the surprise!!!

She also brings her birthday up about 10 times every hour that I am with her, and asks me for updates on how the plans are going. I mean, I don’t really blame her because I am super bad at 1. Planning ahead and 2. Getting things to run smoothly. So I understand her lack of ability to trust that I am making her a good party, which I am!!! I think.

Also, just so you guys know, Dana’s birthday is March 20th, a day before mine on March 21st. So I really can’t tell if it is stressful that I have to plan two birthday parties in one weekend or if it is actually better because I don’t have to work around anyone else’s plans because I get to make up the whole thing. Oooo maybe I will make Dana’s birthday suck and mine really good. If she asks me one more time about how the plans are going, I might just have to do that.

Dana, if you are reading this, don’t worry, I am not actually mad at you. I am going to make this the best birthday ever, even though you basically already know what I am doing for you because you literally told me what to do. Just remember to act surprised when I take your blindfold off.

  1. First of all, thank you a million times for planning!!! But, you have to understand where I'm coming from. I have OCD and can't know that something is being planned FOR ME but I don't know the details. If you ever want to surprise me, pro tip: don't give me any hints that anything is happening at all...Obviously in this case that was impossible, but just for the future! Also, don't worry, I've been told I'm a good actress:)

  2. I would love to plan a birthday party for a friend. As long as no parents see it, it would turn out great. I say that because you can't trust me to be a normal person when I'm around my friends. I assume the same happens for you Zoey, where once you're with your friends your energy levels spike.

  3. I'm starting to change my viewpoint on Dana as this is already the second blog someone has written about her in negative light. LOL I'm kidding but like, Dana stop trying to ruin the surprise you asked for!!
