A year ago today, we started classes on zoom. I really don’t think that anybody was so aware of what was going on or that it would actually last a full year. We all thought we just had extra time off from our normal school lives… but we all realized it became much more serious than we initially thought.
Next week, we have our last day of classes as high school students. I really can not believe that this year, no matter how much it sucked as a senior year, went by so fast. I’m happy that it is over, but there is also much to think about for what to do these next six months until college starts in the fall. With graduation in May, I have time before that and after.
In April I will be flying to Toronto to stay with my family for two weeks. I have not been back home in so long, so I’m very excited, but there’s also a two-week quarantine. I cannot leave the house for two weeks which sucks because all I want is Tim Horton’s coffee and chili.
I believe and I really hope that after graduation, I can fly to Israel to be with my family and friends. I have not seen my whole family in such a long time and I really miss the country. I am excited to eat my favorite foods and visit my favorite places.
I also want to spend as much time with my parents as possible because the reality is that in the fall I will be moving to a different country. I think it will be really hard to adjust without my parents, but hopefully, it will work out. I am really excited about my future!
What are your plans until the fall?

It's so exciting that you'll get to see your family so soon Liann! Quarantining for two weeks I'm sure won't be the most fun but you'll have them. I'm so happy for you. I'm in the same boat for seeing family in Israel though. We were supposed to go last year for Passover and I miss them like crazy. I hope you get to see them soon :)
