Pickleball is a fun sport to play. I don’t know why it is called pickleball as it is a very odd name for a sport, but it is actually very fun to play and easy to learn. Everyone in my family has always played tennis and I have never been able to get into it. However, pickleball which some say is like mini tennis is very fun to play and easy to get good at. It is on a smaller court than tennis with smaller rackets and a plastic ball. It is best played in doubles. This past week I played pickleball for the first time in 2 months. It was also the first time I was able to play a running sport since spraining my ankle in soccer over a month ago. It was exciting for me that I could play sports again after my injury (even though it is still not 100%). It was fun to play pickleball again with my dad against my friend and his dad.
Over Passover, my cousins (who are vaccinated in Israel) are coming and my Grandparents, who are obsessed with pickleball, are going to teach them how to play. I imagine that I am going to be playing a lot with them over the holiday. I am excited to see them as I haven’t seen them since before COVID. Well that is it for my final blog. My dad and some family friends get a real kick out of playing pickleball! I've played it before, but it's not really my thing (although maybe it's just because I don't have much experience. But you'd think after playing tennis for so long, it would help with pickleball. Not for me, I guess!) It's nice that you'll see family from Israel soon! That's so exciting. I sure miss mine.

ReplyDeletePickle ball looks like tennis for people who start of their day with a monster energy drink. The name kind of reminds me of that one time Britain basically made a bunch of new sports in the hopes that they could be the best at one of them for the Olympics, I'm not sure why. Look it up.
